RAINOUTS & CANCELLATIONS
Wednesday, 5/16: Helen Randle (HR) Fields #1 & #3 are still too wet and unsafe for play today. They need an extra day of sun and wind to dry out. HR Fields #2, #5, #6 and fields at the high school are okay for games and/or practices.
Tuesday, 5/15: ALL GAMES AND PRACTICES ARE CANCELLED on all Rock fields (Helen Randle, CR North Varsity and JV, and NMS softball fields) due to the rain from yesterday, last night, and today. Have a good evening.
Thursday, 5/10: Helen Randle (HR) Fields #1 & #3 are still too wet and unsafe for play today. They need an extra day of sun and wind to dry out. However, HR Fields #2, #5, and #6 are okay for games and/or practices. CR North softball teams are playing away today so please use your judgement in using the fields, as well as the NMS field. If there's standing water on the CR North (JV and Varsity) or NMS infields please keep your practice limited to the outfield. With all infields, please do not use rakes to push water out of low spots or pull wet infield material out of low areas. It is always best to give the field an extra day to drain. Also please rake around bases, pitcher's plates, batter's boxes, and catcher's areas after using infields for practices and games.
Wednesday, 5/9: ALL GAMES AND PRACTICES ARE CANCELLED on all fields due to rain last night and the probability of thunderstorms this evening. Have a good night.
Thursday, 5/3: ALL GAMES AND PRACTICES ARE CANCELLED on all fields due to rain and soggy fields. Hopefully things will change in the next 24 hiours so we can get back out and play ball.

Softball Camps This Summer!
Newtown Rock Softball Camp
June 25– June 29, 2012
TIME: 9 AM to 1 PM
The Newtown Rock will be sponsoring a Summer Sports Camp for Softball at the Helen Randle Fields in Newtown, PA. We encourage all young, inhouse softball players in Grades 3 thru 10 to sign up for our camp. We not only provide positional training on all our multiple fields, but skills and games that will make the camper further love the game of softball. We pride ourselves on a knowledgeable and fun-loving staff. Our coaches and counselors will encourage your child to listen, hustle, make friends, have fun and bring home two or three things that can help make her a better person, teammate and player.
The softball camp will cost $120.00 and is open to all girls in Grades 3 thru 10. If you would like to register your child, please download and complete the form.

Coaches Clinic
The coaches clinic IS CANCELLED for Sunday, April 22nd, Opening Day from 4-5 p.m. at Helen Randle Park. We are rescheduling for a later day and will post date and time soon.
