Rick Santiago elected as President of Newtown Rock Softball
During yesterday’s Newtown Rock Softball board meeting, Rick Santiago was elected as the next President of the association. Rick has been an active member of the organization since 2021, when his daughter first began playing at Newtown, and he officially joined the board two years ago. Over the years, Rick has volunteered as a coach and board member, and most recently has focused on revitalizing the recreational program. He has also worked to build partnerships with local programs, aiming to create a stronger, more inclusive platform for players of all levels and interests. Rick would like to thank Tom Seiple, his predecessor, for all of his time and efforts in maintaining relevance in the program during the toughest times we've seen including, but not limited to, the years of COVID.
Rick is enthusiastic about the future and looks forward to continuing to grow the program and bringing new energy and excitement to Helen Randle Park.
